NEET SS (National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test for Super Speciality Courses) is a medical qualification and ranking entrance examination for various DM, MCh, and DNB courses. The exam is conducted annually by the National Board of Education.
AIIMS conducts the INI SS (Institute of National Importance Super Speciality Entrance Test) as an eligibility and ranking examination for postdoctoral positions like DM, MCh, and MD biannually for 11 institutes, including 8 AIIMS. INI SS is held in two stages; the initial stage is valid for all national institutes in India, while stage 2 (department assessment) is only valid for AIIMS admission.
FET (Fellow Entrance Test) is an eligibility and entrance qualification examination conducted by the National Board of Examinations for the postdoctoral FNB programme. It is the only admission exam for FNB (Fellowship of the National Board) courses.

There is no alternative to NEET SS. As per the Indian Medical Council Act of 2016, no other entrance test is valid for admission to any super specialty courses in the country. It remains the eligibility test and without clearing it, no one can get admission to super specialty courses now.
NEET SS is conducted annually or yearly once basis.
The NEET SS is a computer-based test and is conducted online.
NEET SS test is a 3.5 hours long exam comprising 100 questions of 4 marks each.
The total score for NEET SS test is 400 marks. Each correct answer will be given 4 marks each while 1 mark will be deducted for every wrong answer. Non-attended questions will carry zero mark.
The medium or language of exam is English.
All private and government Medical Colleges, Institutions, Universities, Deemed Universities, Armed Forces, and Medical Services Institutions accept the exam score.
