What is FET?
The Fellowship Entrance Test (FET) is a national-level exam conducted by NBEMS. It serves as the gateway for admission to various fellowship programs. These programs are available for candidates who have completed postgraduate medical qualifications like DNB, MD, MS, DM, or MCh in the relevant specialties.
Admissions are based on the merit list generated from FET results, followed by centralised counseling. Once admitted, trainees undergo structured training, maintain performance records and take an exam at the end of the program. Those who pass successfully are awarded the Fellow of National Board (FNB) degree during the NBEMS annual convocation.
FET 2024: Eligibility criteria
- Candidates must have a postgraduate medical degree (MD/MS/DM/MCh/DNB) in the relevant specialty from a recognised institute.
- The postgraduate degree must be completed by 31st December 2024. Candidates who complete their degree by this date will be eligible for FET 2024.
- There is no upper or lower age limit for candidates applying for FET.
