What is FET?

Fellowship Entrance Test (FET) is the single-window eligibility cum ranking test for admission to various FNB courses. This computer-based exam is conducted by the National Board of Examinations (NBE). Aspirants who successfully qualify for FET can choose their Fellowship Program specialization. After the successful completion of the Post-Doctoral FNB program, the candidates will be awarded Fellow of NBE at the annual convocation of NBE.

Eligibility Criteria for FET Exam

The eligibility criteria are different for Indian and International students.
Eligibility Criteria for Indian Students

Indian aspirants must have a recognized PG medical degree/Provisional pass certificate (MD/MS/DM/MCh/DNB/DrNB) or an equivalent recognized qualification. Ensure you have completed the eligible feeder qualification for the particular fellowship course you want to pursue. Registration with the NMC or State Medical Council is required, and written documentation of that registration must be shown on the exam day. There is no age criteria for aspirants enrolled in NBEMS Fellowship courses.

Eligibility Criteria for International Students

As an International student/foreign national, you must possess a PG medical qualification equivalent to the eligible feeder qualification for the fellowship course you want to pursue. The aspirant must be a registered medical practitioner. Ensure your qualification is registered in your country and recognized as per NMC Act, 2019. International students also need to ensure security clearance from the Ministry of Home Affairs, Govt. of India for appearing in FET. Apart from that, aspirant needs to obtain a ‘No Objection Certificate’ from your Medical Council/Government to appear for the exam and work in India for the period of Fellowship. You must keep all your documents safe to produce them at the time of counseling. There is no upper or lower age limit for the International candidates applying for FET.
